Business Pitch Competition
Throughout incubation, Members formulate, hone and practice delivering their business pitches in preparation for the business pitch competition at the end of each cohort's incubation period.
Members present their pitches to a panel of judges. Winners are awarded with seed funding, depending on their placement in the competition.
Formalization, registration and legal support
To encourage sustainability and full inclusion in the Turkish economy, LIFE provides support on registration procedures and compliance with local legal, and overlapping accounting, requirements.
A road map and other tools are available to the FEC Members for reference, as well as on-site experts who donate their services to entrepreneurs seeking guidance on specific questions related to their business in one-on-one sessions.
Access to finance and start-up support
The FEC supports its Members in identifying funding for their enterprises from a variety of sources, such as capital investments, loans and grants. The FEC staff facilitate connections with potential local and international financiers, and coach entrepreneurs in developing proposals and pitches.
The FEC staff also work to guide Members in finding and securing a location to rent, discounted or second-hand equipment, and other business solutions to launching their enterprises.
Networking, Thematic Events and Seminars
Networking and experience-sharing events are organized on a regular basis to expose Members to a variety of experiences of successful food entrepreneurs and build their own network within the Turkish food industry. The FEC hosts seminars at request on specific areas of interest, such as access to finance, entering the Turkish food market, and food regulation.
