The LIFE Cookbook is underway! The book will feature recipes and stories from LIFE Members, documenting their culinary heritage and journeys to becoming food entrepreneurs in Turkey.

LIFE Advisory Council member and culinary expert, Filiz Hösükoğlu, will lead the development of the cookbook.

Ms. Hösükoğlu is a leading expert in the culinary culture of Turkey and its surroundings, and has written numerous articles for national and international food magazines and organized food tours and programs. She contributed to the development of a guidebook as part of a EU-funded project on Turkey’s cultural heritage, which was third best in its category at the Paris Gourmand Book Awards in 2008.

Ms. Hösükoğlu was an integral member of the team that won the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, the culinary capital of Southeast Turkey, a spot on the renowned UNESCO Creative Cities Network in Gastronomy in 2015.

Ms. Hösükoğlu has also had wide-ranging experience in development, managing projects funded by the EU, UN and various other international NGOs.
